The other week, a good friend of mine—Manding Delluza— sent me a very significant trivia-cum-
update about this life-threatening covid-19 pandemic scourge engulfing the whole world.
It is a serious matter sent via messenger in that it revealed an ancient prophecy by an extraordinary prophet in the person of Nostradamus.
Yes, dear and precious readers: NOSTRADAMUS! Who is he?
The content of Manding Delluzaโs historical trivia, sent via messenger, kept me sleepless until the wee hours couple of weeks ago. Alarmed, thrilled (donโt misunderstand meโnaka scope ako through him for this column) worried me no end, especially now that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte declared a state of national emergency one month earlier and placing entire Luzon under โenhanced community quarantineโ per DOH Alert Level 2 assessment.
In that declaration aired in all television networks, President said it with clarity and conviction: โThere is not Martial Law. This is not even extraordinary, but we have to fight the virus and exact compliance.โ The reason is pure and simple but hard to d. It was meant to avoid contagion. In the military lingo, โenhanced community quarantineโ, a civilian description, is โlockdown. โNo wonder, the most disciplined and most obedient forcesโthe AFP and the PNP have been called upon to maintain peace and order and compel stubborn civilian populace to follow Malacanangโs directives and orders including DOH and other government agencies legal initiatives to combat and contain this life-threatening virus which gone berserk and pandemic.
