Mariing tinutulan ni Senate President Vicente C. Sotto III ang “No vax, No ride policy” ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) bilang tugon ng pamahalaan sa tumataas na bilang ng mga tinatamaan ng nakaka-alarmang covid-19.
Ayon kay Senate President Sotto, hindi dapat mag-discriminate ang mga opisyal ng pamahalaan laban sa mga hindi bakunadong pasahero, sa halip magkaroon ng alternatibong hakbang para makumbinsi ang publiko na mag-avail ng libreng bakuna.
“There should be no discrimination among the riding public. Instead of barring them from riding public transports, DOTr should come up with brighter ideas on how to protect the unvaxxed from the deadly virus. For example, in trains or in PUBs, designated coaches or buses should be designated for riders who have not been jabbed,” paglalahad ni Sotto.
Dapat din umanong pagsilbihan ng pamahalaan ang mga ayaw pang magpabakuna sa bansa. Marami pa umanong iba pang hakbang at ang madiskaril ang means of transportation ng mga mamamayan ay hindi magandang option.
“There are many options, but to destabilize the means of transportation of our people should not be the only option. Think. Explore. There are plenty of other ways to fight the pandemic,” pagtatapos ng opisyal.
