𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗴’𝗼𝘁𝘀

Skills, tradition, and might shone brightly as the highly anticipated Catandungan Abaca Patiribayan Contests 2024 held at the Provincial Capitol Grounds crowned its champions. Held annually, the competition showcases the expertise of Catandungan abacaleros in various abaca processing techniques including abaca handstripping, sug-ot making, twine making, and longest abaca fiber.

The competition served as a well-deserved tribute to the hardworking abacaleros of Catanduanes. Their expertise in farming abaca, a skill passed down through generations, has been a source of livelihood and imprinted its mark on the province’s cultural heritage. These festivities celebrate their hard work, skills, and dedication, for which the very reason why the abaca industry continues to thrive in the province.
