Twenty-nine (29) individuals have filed their Certificates of Candidacy for mayor, while twenty-two (22) have filed for vice mayor in the eleven municipalities of Catanduanes.
According to the official records of the COMELEC, one mayor and one vice mayor are running unopposed. Ten mayors are re-electionists, while seven (7) are re-electionists for vice mayor.
In the town of Virac, twenty (20) individuals filed their COCs—three for mayor and two (2) for vice mayor. Among those who filed were incumbent Governor Joseph C. Cua, incumbent Vice Mayor Dr. Arlynn H. Arcilla, and former Mayor Atty. Sinforoso M. Sarmiento. For the vice mayoral race, incumbent municipal councilors Rosie Olarte and Lemuel Surtida will face off.
Twenty-two (22) candidates filed their Certificates of Candidacy in the town of Viga, Catanduanes. Four filed for mayor, while the vice mayoral candidate, incumbent Mayor Emeterio Tarin, is uncontested. Seventeen (17) individuals filed for municipal councilor. Among the candidates for mayor are former Mayor Abelardo M. Abundo, Sr., Carlo Magno T. Guerrero, Ramil M. Torres, and incumbent Vice Mayor Jennifer M. Tuplano.
Twenty-three (23) candidates filed their Certificates of Candidacy in the town of Panganiban, Catanduanes. Re-electionist Mayor Cesar J. Robles of Lakas-CMD is running uncontested. Two (2) candidates filed for vice mayor, while twenty (20) filed for municipal councilor. The two vice mayoral candidates are incumbent Vice Mayor Arvin V. Atencia of Lakas-CMD and Melchor C. Aquino, running as an independent.
Twenty-three (23) candidates filed their Certificates of Candidacy in the town of Pandan, Catanduanes. Two (2) filed for mayor, two (2) for vice mayor, and nineteen (19) for municipal councilor. The candidates for mayor are incumbent Mayor Raul E. Tabirara of Lakas-CMD and Honesto C. Tabligan, II of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas. The two candidates for vice mayor are incumbent Vice Mayor Eric T. Rodriguez of Lakas-CMD and incumbent councilor Jezreel E. Delos Santos, running as an independent.
Twenty-four (24) candidates filed their Certificates of Candidacy in the town of Baras, Catanduanes. Two (2) filed for mayor, three (3) for vice mayor, and nineteen (19) for municipal councilor. The candidates for mayor are incumbent Mayor Jose Paolo Teves of Lakas-CMD and Dr. Jorge G. Tanael of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas. Meanwhile, the three vice mayoral candidates are incumbent Vice Mayor Rico T. Tating of Lakas-CMD, Felix T. Tapar of Partido Federal, and Alben T. Vergara, running as an independent.
A total of twenty (20) candidates filed their Certificates of Candidacy in the town of Bagamanoc, Catanduanes. Three (3) filed for mayor, two (2) for vice mayor, and sixteen (16) for municipal councilor. The candidates for mayor are incumbent Mayor Odilon F. Pascua of Lakas-CMD, and independent candidates Vincent V. Villaluna and Cesar C. Vitalicio. The two candidates for vice mayor are incumbent Juan A. Velchez, Jr. and Zaldy V. Vicente, both running as independents.
Nineteen (19) candidates filed their Certificates of Candidacy in the town of Bato, Catanduanes. Two (2) filed for mayor, two (2) for vice mayor, and fifteen (15) for municipal councilor. The mayoral candidates are incumbent Mayor Juan T. Rodulfo of Lakas-CMD and Princess Vanessa A. Rodriguez, daughter of Congressman Rodriguez, from Partido Federal. The two vice mayoral candidates are Erwin T. Rojas of Partido Federal and Reynato T. Teston of Lakas-CMD.
Twenty-four (24) candidates filed their Certificates of Candidacy in the town of Caramoran, Catanduanes. Four (4) filed for mayor, two for vice mayor, and eighteen (18) for municipal councilor. The mayoral candidates are incumbent Mayor Glenda V. Aguilar of Lakas-CMD, Nel B. Asanza (independent), Joy Z. Tamayo of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, and Leo L. Sapico (independent). The two candidates for vice mayor are incumbent Ferdinand P. Tioxon of Lakas-CMD and Ma. Luna M. Pelisco (independent).

The mayoral candidates include incumbent Mayor Vicente J. Tayam of Lakas-CMD and former Mayor Armando T. Guerrero (independent). The two vice mayoral candidates are incumbent Rodrigo B. Turado of Lakas-CMD and Efren T. Tating of Partido Federal.

The candidates for mayor are Ruel Camano of Lakas-CMD, son of incumbent Mayor Francisco Camano, Jr., and Antonio T. Teves of Partido Federal. For vice mayor, the candidates are incumbent VM Noel S. Morales of Lakas-CMD and Manuel T. Sumulat of NPC.
Twenty-eight (28) candidates filed their Certificates of Candidacy in the town of San Andres. Four filed for mayor, two for vice mayor, and twenty-two (22) for municipal councilor. The mayoral candidates are incumbent Leo Z. Mendoza, Dr. Ally T. Romano, Salvador S. Gregorio, and Yul M. Santelices. For vice mayor, the candidates are Rommel A. Antonio and Felix G. Romeo, Jr. (FMB).
