CatSU Leaders Beam with Pride as First-Time English Major LPT Topnotcher Kym Terrago Receives Warm Welcome

Acedo and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Kristian Aldea warmly welcomed Kym Terrago, the university’s newly minted LET topnotcher in Secondary English, during her courtesy visit.

The unexpected announcement came as a complete surprise to Terrago, who ranked Top 4 in the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers, leaving her visibly overwhelmed and moved.
Accepting the offer with humility, Terrago gave thanks to God for what she described as an outpouring of blessings beyond her expectations. Adding to the celebration, President Acedo also announced that the university is granting a ₱20,000 incentive to CatSU LET topnotchers in recognition of their outstanding achievement. In a touching moment, Terrago shared that she intended to allocate part of the amount to purchase sunglasses for her mother, a cancer survivor, as a small but meaningful gift of love and thanksgiving.
