By the time this issue hits the streets, all of the graduates and their proud parents children are still under state of excitement, euphoria,  and pride for that special event in their lives particulalrly the much-awaited “48th COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES” in the Catanduanes State University (CSU) held in two clusters last March 26-27, 2019 at the CSU Gymnasium.

           Other institutions of higher learning like the Catanduanes Colleges (CC);  Catandunes Polytechnic Institute  of Technology (CPIC) etc. will probably hold their respective graduation exercises in April.

           Accordingly, DepEd- supervised elementary and secondary schools in the province headed by Division Superintendent Dr. Socorro V. dela Rosa will hold its graduation exercises on April 1-5.

          Like other enlightened members of society, this crusading community newspaper sincerely believes that education is, indeed, a great equalizer.

           Hence, the implementation of the K+12 curriculum whose first batch are have enrolled in all SUCs last first semester, academic year 2018-2019 and the free higher education authored by no less than Senator Bam Aquino, if memory serves us correctly.  

          Be that as it may, we cannot help but shift our attention to the annual commemoration all well-meaning Christians in the Philippines and the whole Catholic Christian world await faithfully and solemnly — the Lenten Season which officially started during the Ash Wednesday ritual held couple of weeks ago simultaneously in all Roman Catholic churches/chapels nationwide.

          As we prepare for the Holy Week celebration, let’s hope and pray that the UNITY WALK sponsored by the COMELEC, DILG, PNP and PPCRV would be strengthened in its resolve to have a free, clean, honest, and peaceful exercise of rights of suffrage during the midterm May 13 elections.
