Virac, Catanduanes – Pansamantalang nagpatupad ng selected lockdown ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Virac sa ilang bahagi ng barangay ng Casoocan at Danicop.
Ayon kay Chief of Police Antonio Perez, dahil umano ito sa mga dagdag na kaso ng covid-19 kung kaya’t dapat ipatupad ang mga health protocols. Sa loob umano ng 14 araw ang lockdown ng ito sa mga Purok 1, Purok 2, Purok 3 at Sitio Luminanggas sa Barangay Danicop, Virac.
“Likewise, with the proper coordination at Barangay Casoocan, there will be also a Selective Lockdown wherein there had been one positive in COVID 19 in that barangay. With the increasing number and additional four (4) new COVID 19 cases in the municipality of Virac, one from Danicop, one from Gogon Centro, one from Casoocan and the other one admitted at hospital facility, may we appeal to the public that we are still in the Community Quarantine’, dagdag pa ng opisyal.
Bahagi umano ito ng isinasagawang contact tracing matapos mailabas ang panibagong dagdag na mga positive cases.
