Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City—Authorities flagged down three suspicious looking individuals in a checkpoint on April 2, 2023 in Masbate resulted in the confiscation of loose firearms.

Joint elements of Aroroy MPS, and Delta Coy, 96IB PA while conducting checkpoint at Brgy. Puro, Aroroy, Masbate particularly in front of Headquarters, Puro Patrol Base 96IB, PA around 9:30 evening were able to stopped a Mitsubishi L300 van bearing Plate No. THG 752 with the following passengers Jeson Cadiz y Borado, 36 years old; Gaspar Rabo y Cinco, 29 years old; and Christian Race y Cristobal, 31 years old, all a natives of Aroroy, Masbate.

After a thoroughly inspection, the operatives were able to confiscate from them the following items: one unit Taurus 9mm with defaced serial number; one steel magazine for caliber 9mm; 16 rounds of live ammunition for caliber 9mm; one unit Caspian Caliber .45 pistol with serial number 279307; one steel magazine for caliber .45; eight rounds of live ammunition for caliber .45; one unit Caliber .45 pistol make: Norinco 1911 with serial number 687283; two pieces steel magazine for caliber .45; 11 rounds of live ammunition for caliber .45; one unit Mitsubishi L300 Van color gray bearing Plate No. THG 752; and 75 pieces of plastic containers containing gasoline product more or less 1,500 Liters.

The three individual were arrested after they failed to present any legal documents for the possession of firearms, and the necessary permit to transport petroleum products. They are now under the custody of Aroroy MPS for filling of complaints and proper disposition.
