28th PCR MONTH CELEBRATION CULMINATING ACTIVITY HELD AT CATANDUANES PPO, HONORS PCR PERSONNEL

The 28th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month Culminating Ceremony took place at Catanduanes Police Provincial Office, Camp Francisco Camacho, Virac, Catanduanes on July 31, 2023, at 8:00 in the morning. This year’s theme was “United Service for a Safe and Prosperous Community.”

The event aimed to express gratitude for the dedication and continuous service of our Police force in fostering strong connections between the community and law enforcement. Reverend Father RENATO R. DELA ROSA, Director of Caritas Virac Justice and Peace Inc., served as the Guest of Honor, and he was warmly welcomed and congratulated by the leadership under the supervision of PCOL BENJAMIN B. BALINGBING, JR, Provincial Director.

In his message, Rev. Fr. Dela Rosa emphasized the importance of unity, saying, “Collaborate, Connect, Relate and Communicate… Your Accomplishments and Failures are not a result of one element or person, rather, it is because of everyone.”

During the ceremony, outstanding contributions and accomplishments were recognized as a response to the exemplary service and community engagement demonstrated by the police personnel in the entire Catanduanes PPO. The PCR Police Non-Commissioned Officers from all Municipal Police Stations (MPS) in Catanduanes, including the 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), were honored for leading the CY 2023 Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (UPER) in the months of February, March, May, and June among the six (6) PPOs and one (1) CPO in the Bicol Region.

3. Pat Johnmar P Sta. Ines of Catanduanes 1st PMFC – Co-Anchor of “Balita Mo, i. P.A.T.R.O.L. Mo”
4. San Miguel MPS – Recognized as a Drug Cleared and Drug Free Municipality
5. Panganiban MPS – Recognized as a Drug Cleared and Drug Free Municipality
6. Viga MPS – Recognized as a Drug Free and Drug Cleared Municipality
7. Bagamanoc MPS – Recognized as a Drug Cleared and Drug Free Municipality
8. Pandan MPS – Recognized as a Drug Cleared and Drug Free Municipality
9. Baras MPS – Brgy Puraran recognized as a Drug Free and Drug Cleared Barangay
10. Bato MPS – Brgy Cabugao and Brgy Tamburan recognized as Drug Free and Drug Cleared Barangays
11. Caramoran MPS – Brgy. Tubli and Sabangan recognized as Drug Free and Drug Cleared Barangays
12. San Andres MPS – Brgy Lictin, Brgy Timbaan, and Brgy. Bislig recognized as Drug Free and Drug Cleared Barangays
13. Virac MPS – Brgy Rawis, Brgy. Calatagan Proper, and Brgy Gogon Sirangan recognized as Drug Free and Drug Cleared Barangays

Meanwhile, at the 28th PCR MONTH Celebration Culminating Activity at Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City, Albay, Baras Municipal Police Station was awarded the “Plaque of Recognition” for its “Project ALFA” Alagang Familia, which was recognized as the Best Community and Service Oriented Policing System (CSOP) for the Province of Catanduanes. PSMS Catherine L. Surban of San Andres Municipal Police Station was also awarded the “Plaque of Recognition” as the “Outstanding PCAD Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for CY 2023.”
