The construction of a 20-story Integrated Specialty and Wellness Center Hub at the Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center is set to commence. This is part of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Legacy Hospital project and aims to improve healthcare services for residents of Bicol and neighboring provinces. The building is expected to provide specialty medical care along with facilities for research and education.

It will also be promoted as a center for medical tourism in the region and surrounding areas. The goal is to offer broader access to quality and affordable medical services. According to Cong. Zaldy Co of the Ako Bicol Party List, this will not just be a building but a landmark for both the Bicol region and the entire country.

Cong. Zaldy stated that the modern facility will enable more accurate medical diagnoses and treatments within the region. It will also feature special financial assistance programs, which will significantly improve the public health system.

The Integrated Specialty and Wellness Center Hub is expected to offer various specialty treatments and services that will enhance the capacity of local health professionals through advanced training and research opportunities.

Furthermore, Cong. Zaldy added that once the construction is complete, Bicol residents will no longer need to travel to Manila for medical treatment. Instead, Bicol will become a destination for people from different places, including other countries, seeking medical care.
