Around 7:30 PM of November 10, 2019, a 24-year old fish vendor identified as Lester Joel Toledo y Vallespin, married, resident of Brgy Palnab Del Norte, Virac, Catanduanes, Drug Surrenderer, was arrested by joint elements of Virac Municipal Police Station (MPS), Regional Intelligence Division- Regional Special Operations Unit (RID-RSOU) Catanduanes and Catanduanes Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) led by PCAPT VOLTAIRE JUN J PEDIDO, OIC, in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office V (PDEA ROV) in an Anti-Illegal Drug Buy Bust Operation at Brgy. San Roque, Virac, Catanduanes.
Seized from possession of suspect were two (2) pieces small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, buy-bust money, one (1) unit peach Itel cellphone and other non-drug items.
Arrested suspect was informed of his Constitutional Rights, undergone medical examinations and is now under the custody of said MPS together with the seized drug and non-drug items for proper disposition while a case for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) is being prepared against the suspect.
