Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City—The Commander, Area Police Command-Southern Luzon, PLTGEN RHODERICK C ARMAMENTO as the representative of PGEN BENJAMIN ACORDA JR, Chief, PNP presided the turnover ceremony of office of the 42nd Regional Director of Police Regional Office 5, PBGEN ANDRE P DIZON , today December 19, 2023 held at the PRO5 Grandstand Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City. He replaced PBGEN WESTRIMUNDO D OBINQUE who will take the position as the new Director of the Directorate for Research and Development in the National Headquarters.
A distinguished member of the Philippine National Police Academy SANDIGAN Class of 1994, PBGEN DIZON hails from Prieto, Diaz, Sorsogon. Prior to his current role, he served as the director of Police Retirement and Benefits Administration Service (PRBS) and also held the position of director at the Manila Police District. Widely recognized as a “Game Changer,” he has been instrumental in developing and implementing innovative programs that have significantly contributed to the organization’s high-satisfaction rating for its anti-criminality efforts.
During his address at the turnover ceremony, he underscored the importance in giving his best in serving the Bicol region. He placed particular emphasis on aligning efforts with the government’s key programs, highlighting their significance in fostering positive change and development.
“This regional police office will continue to strongly support the present government in upholding the constitution and obeying the duly constituted authorities. Our solid commitment to professionally perform our mandate will be seen and felt by our constituents and partners in both government and private agencies”, said by PBGEN DIZON.
He also committed to align his plans and programs on the 5-Foscused Agenda of the Chief PNP which are the Aggressive and Honest Law Enforcement Operations; Community Engagement; Personnel and Morale Welfare; Integrity Enhancement; and Information and Communication Technology Enforcement Operations.
PLTGEN ARMAMENTO extended his personal congratulations to both valued-officers for their new designations. Following this, he conveyed the Chief PNP’s message, accentuating a steadfast commitment to unity, collaboration, and dedicated service to the community.
