Tokyo, Japan – Ms. Ma. Florisa T. Resayaga of A. Teves Enterprises, a client under the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Wearables & Home Styles Industry Cluster, is currently representing Bicol at the prestigious Fashion Goods and Accessories Expo. She is one of the 15 official Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) delegates from the region participating in the event at Tokyo Big Sight Exhibition Center, East Hall 6, Ariake Koto City, which runs from July 3 to July 5, 2024.

The participation in this international expo was spearheaded by DTI-Regional Office 5, led by Regional Director Dindo G. This event is part of the 19th Lifestyle Week in Tokyo, renowned as the world’s leading trade fair for lifestyle products, including gifts, homeware, fashion items, baby products, and food.

“This platform is a golden opportunity to showcase Bicol products on a global stage, as well as to explore and source products from Japan and other parts of the world. It’s also a great venue to find new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) partners,” said DTI Regional Director Dindo G. Nabol.

Accompanying Ms. Resayaga are two representatives from the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Catanduanes: PBM Hon. Jan Ferdinand Alberto, SP Committee Chair on Trade & Industry, and Mr. Christopher Marasigan, Assistant Provincial Assessor. The trio also paid a courtesy visit to the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo today.

The Bicol delegation is further strengthened by the presence of DTI Bicol Regional Director Dindo G. Nabol and Senior Trade Industry Development Specialist (STIDS) Jose Luis Bobadilla, Head of DTI RO 5 Industry & Investment Section.

This event highlights the dynamic involvement of Bicol MSMEs in international trade fairs, underlining their competitiveness and the quality of their products in the global market.
