VIRAC, Catanduanes — Catanduanes Governor Dr. Patrick Alain T. Azanza has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to public service and educational leadership, receiving the prestigious Educational Administration (EDAD) Alumni Award for Public Service from the University of the Philippines (UP).
The award, which honors alumni of the UP College of Education’s Department of Educational Administration, was conferred upon Dr. Azanza for his exemplary career that seamlessly bridges the academe and public governance. The Governor is a distinguished alumnus of the University of the Philippines, holding a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration from UP Diliman, as well as a Juris Doctor degree from the UP College of Law.
A Career Marked by “Honor, Excellence, and Service” Dr. Azanza’s leadership trajectory includes a successful term as the President of the Catanduanes State University (CatSU), where he championed reforms to elevate the institution’s academic standing and governance. His transition to provincial leadership saw him elected as the 13th Governor of Catanduanes, a victory that ended a long political dynasty in the island province.
