“Four Catanduanes police officers were awarded medals on May 22 for their exemplary service that earned recognition from the leadership of the Philippine National Police.
The awarding ceremony was held at the Catanduanes Police Provincial Office, Camp Francisco Camacho, and was led by PRO5 Regional Director PBGen. Westrimundo Obinque during his command visit to the province.
PCPT Arnee Julius G. Dedase of Virac MPS received the ‘Medal of Merit’ for his arrest of a suspect during a buy-bust operation last January in Barangay Bigaa, Virac, and the confiscation of approximately PhP96,634 worth of ‘shabu’. PSSg Francis S Peña and Patrolman Jake T Tayamora of Panganiban MPS were also awarded the ‘Medal of Merit’ for their arrest of Rank Number 4 Regional Most Wanted of PRO5 on charges of rape and statutory rape last February in Sitio Tarahid, Barangay San Pedro, Panganiban.
PCPT Louie James V. Amoy was also recognized and given the ‘Commendation Medal’ for leading the implementation of ‘Project Munting Bahay’ for a couple living under a bridge in Barangay Tubli, Caramoran.
According to the CatPPO leadership, the awarding of medals and commendations to police officers who have shown excellence and success in their sworn duties is a recognition of their loyalty and honor to the organization.”
