Virac, Catanduanes – The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office V (DA-RFO V) turned over a cash grant amounting to more than 700k pesos to the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Catanduanes.
The turnover ceremony was held at the DA-RFO V office in Virac, Catanduanes, and was attended by representatives from both agencies. The cash grant aims to support the agricultural programs and initiatives of the province.
The financial assistance provided by DA-RFO V is expected to contribute to the development of Catanduanes’ agriculture sector, particularly in enhancing productivity, improving farm practices, and supporting the livelihood of farmers and fisherfolk.
The PLGU of Catanduanes expressed their gratitude to DA-RFO V for the cash grant, recognizing its significance in strengthening their efforts towards agricultural development and food security in the province.
Both agencies expressed their commitment to continue working together in promoting sustainable agriculture, ensuring the welfare of farmers, and fostering economic growth in Catanduanes.

Virac, Catanduanes- Personal na Itinurn over ng Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office V (DA-RFO V) kasama ang Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center V (ATI-RTC V) ang Cheque na nagkakahalaga ng 755,000 pesos, ito ay sa ilalim ng Province-led Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Systems (PAFES) para sa pamahalaang panlalawigan ng catanduanes.
Ang naturang financial grant na natanggap ay bahagi ng co financing scheme sa ATI Bicol na magsisilbing “Strategic Extension Support” o layong maghatid ng suporta para sa paglulunsad ng Catanduanes Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Center (CAFEC). Nakapaloob sa CAFEC ang iba’t ibang trainings at seminars tungkol sa priority commodities na kabilang sa Provincial Commodity Investment Plan (PCIP) tulad ng Abaca, Mangrove Crab, Swine, Native Chicken at Dairy Cattle.
Ang Province-led Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Systems (PAFES) ay isa sa mga mekanismo ng Department of Agriculture na tinutulungang maihatid o mailapit sa mga agricultural extension services sa mga mamayan na pinapatibay ang ugnayan ng ibat ibang mga kagawaran, LGU’s, mapa pribadong sector at iba pang ahensiya ng gobyerna na humahalili at tumutulong na palakasin ang “Agricultural and Fisheries Growth” sa ibant ibang mga lalawigan.
