Panganiban, Catanduanes – A groundbreaking initiative to improve healthcare services in remote areas of Catanduanes was recently achieved with the inauguration of the first-ever Super Health Center in Barangay Burabod, Panganiban.
This project aims to provide comprehensive medical services to residents of Panganiban and nearby towns, including Viga and Bagamanoc. The Super Health Center is designed as an upgraded version of the typical rural health unit, offering services such as out-patient care, birthing assistance, diagnostic services (laboratory, ECG, X-ray, and ultrasound), isolation facilities, and a pharmacy.
With state-of-the-art facilities and streamlined service processes, the new health center is expected to make healthcare more accessible and effective for the community.
This facility is anticipated to significantly impact the health and well-being of residents, especially in areas where access to basic medical services has been a challenge.
The project stands as a testament to the unwavering efforts of the local government and the Department of Health to address the healthcare needs of every community and uphold health as a fundamental right for all Filipinos. (BP NewsTeam)
