Catanduanes State University (CatSU) proudly added another accolade to its name as it received the esteemed Internationalization Champions of Nation-Building and Sustainability (ICONS) 2024 Award from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The awarding ceremony took place on December 16, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Manila.

Representing CatSU, Officer-in-Charge Atty. Septon A. de la Cruz and Ms. Zyra Mae T. Tumala, Director of the Center for International Relations and Continuing Professional Development Services, accepted the award on behalf of the university.

This prestigious recognition underscores CatSU’s exemplary contributions as a Philippine Higher Education Institution (PHEI) in fostering sustainable development, advancing internationalization efforts, and attaining excellence in global rankings.
