Once again, the capital town showcased its dominance by securing the overall championship in Palarong Panlalawigan 2023, amassing an impressive total of 193 medals, including 97 golds, 46 silvers, and 50 bronzes.

Virac emerged as the standout performer during the three-day sports event, demonstrating a powerful campaign that resulted in 69 gold medals in the secondary level and 28 gold medals in the elementary level.

Viga claimed the first runner-up position with a substantial collection of 62 gold, 46 silver, and 29 bronze medals. Bato closely followed, securing the third spot with a collection of 45 gold, 54 silver, and 33 bronze medals.

San Andres secured the fourth position with 35 gold medals, while Caramoran settled for fifth place with 34 gold medals.

The medal table adheres to a priority system similar to the Olympics, with the ranking of municipalities primarily based on the number of gold medals won in regular and demonstration events.
